Freshbikes, Gripped Racing & Dogfish Head Alehouse Present a Charity Tuesday Night Ride
Here's a little something for you to look forward to on this Friday afternoon. Freshbikes, Gripped Racing & Dogfish Head Alehouse are hosting the upcoming Tuesday Night Ride on September 4th. There will be Dogfish Head beverages on tap as we wrap up summer and call attention to our charity organization, Companions For Heroes (C4H).
C4H provides companion animals, skilled companion dogs, and service dogs obtained from shelters and/or rescues, who might otherwise be euthanized, free of charge to active duty military personnel, military veterans, and first-responders recovering from the psychological challenges they suffered during service to our country. C4H increases public awareness of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), traumatic brain injury (TBI) and other challenges confronting our country’s heroes; and rally’s support for animal welfare and the adoption of shelter and/or rescue animals. Gripped Racing will be raising funds for a special "EMERGENCY FUND by Gripped Racing" for times when the dogs placed with veterans need special care and the vet cannot afford it. The ride starts promptly at 6:30 pm, and leaves from the Arlington store and is for cyclists of all abilities. But remember with close to 300 cyclists it is important that you are comfortable riding in a group. Helmets are REQUIRED so please make sure you bring yours.
On-site parking is very limited, so we suggest that you ride your bikes to the ride, and remember, riding home after dark requires the use of lights.
