You won't be able to keep quiet about how easily Thule's Big Mouth Bike Mount carries your bicycle. Its self-adjusting soft jaws clamp the down tube on your bicycle (up to 3 3/8-inches in diameter), and the wheel straps fit tires up to 2.6-inches wide. This mount quickly attaches to your roof-rack crossbars (sold separately), features easy-to-reach adjustments, and is lockable with an optional key lock.

Comments:
This is a little harder to install than a trunk mounted because of the requirement for a carrier rack to mount the bike racks on. The carrier rack adds drag so I don't like leaving it on all the time. However it's great for long trips as it doesn't get in the way of opening the trunk or a tailgate door. I have 2 of these bike racks. One I've owned for 15 years and the other for 5.

Comments:
At first the product worked great but as time went by the cam that holds the mechanism onto my load bars needed more and more tightening to keep the bike from wobbling back and forth. Eventually I think one of the cam bolts will snap. It just seems like they have stretched over time and cause the bike to sway back and forth. I'm constantly having to adjust them.
