It's back! This early 90's stalwart has been updated with new materials, a new tread pattern, and new technology. The new version of Specialized's Ground Control 2Bliss Tire is a confident-cornering tread that excels in a variety of conditions. Specialized used finite element analysis to optimize the side knobs for grip, create a fast-rolling center section, and provide great braking control.

This particular review is for the 2.3", which I did gig for being not true to size. Other reviews on the web were spot on when they said this tire ran narrow. I measured mine at 2.2ish. Withstanding this particular gripe, these tires are phenomenal. I rode em today at Deception, which was somewhat wet and couldn't be happier with the performance. I was able to corner faster, climb stronger, and hold an off camber line like I've never been privy to before. On a few occasions, the tread would break free on slick (wet) rock, but just as my knuckles would begin to whiten, they'd hook right back up. I was further impressed with this tire's ability to shed mud and the control I was still able to maintain on rock soon after going through said mud. It's been a good long time since I have been so happy with the performance of a tire in poor conditions that I had forgotten the shear pleasure of it. I've only had the one ride on these tires, but I feel I can vouch for the durability of the tread as I didn't lose a knob or suffer a single flat through the myriad rock gardens that make up Deception. This tire does not disappoint.
