Specialized's Camber Comp Carbon 29 excels at every type of riding you do—and more! It starts with 120mm of their active FSR suspension which is built into a light, stiff carbon mainframe. Leading the way is a 120mm-travel RockShox Revelation fork to smooth the trail. Everything rolls on big Roval 29-inch wheels that carve corners and hold their speed, keeping you ahead of your buddies. At your fingertips are powerful Shimano Deore disc brakes and an 11-speed SRAM GX drivetrain, helping you quickly find the right gear and control your speed. When it's time to get behind the saddle and rail through the technical sections there's a Command Post dropper at your control. A whole host of Specialized's own components including their comfy BG Henge Comp saddle, grippy Specialized tires, and innovative SWAT down tube storage system round out this trail-shredding package.

Just got this bike and am very pleased....reasonably quick handling yet very stable and predictable whether climbing, descending or doing fast singletrack....excellent entry level carbon bike with decent parts spec all around for a great value....I might at some point upgrade to a lighter wheelset, but for now, it's fine. Fox front and rear are very tuneable....Shimano Deore brakes work well....this is a perfect bike for a person who wants to enjoy numerous facets of mountain biking without having to buy 2 or 3 different bikes....add a light carbon wheelset and it would be a fine XC/enduro/endurance racer for most of us...GREAT JOB SPECIALIZED !!

I bought a 2013 Camber Carbon Comp and it is fantastic! I pretty much only ride Copper Harbor Mi and this bike does everything from Flow trails to the Red Trail. It is very well balanced and what I like it descends fast and climbs great! I have about 400 hard miles on my Camber and it has performed perfect!!! Thanks Specialized for a perfect Bike for ME! It has brought this 49 yrs old to a new riding level:)

At this price range I expect reliable and competent parts. Not the case here. The Hi-lo 142 + rear hub is terrible, it simply does not work properly. It left me stranded on the trail after only 4 months. I am also having problems with the bottom bracket.
