I use this bike for all-around riding with emphasis on cross-country trails in hilly San Diego..This bike handles quick enough to be lots of fun to ride, yet is also very solid on fast downhills and twisty singletrack...all it needs to be perfect is maybe a lighter wheelset, but it's very capable out of the box....this has to be one of the BEST VALUES OUT THERE : Carbon main frame, 110mm tuneable travel Fox front/rear, FSR rear, Shimano drivetrain AND brakes, solid wheelset with grippy tires...AND it's pretty nice lookin' too, with the carbon clearcoat and blue/white accents...Check one out !!

I am a girl and have been searching for a new bike to step up to. Currently, I've been riding a Myka FSR Comp, which a great ride, but I have wanted to step up to a 29'r. I tested out the Rumor, however, it just didn't suit me. I tried to make it work by switching sizes, adjusting the seat, so on and so on. Then I tried out the Camber Comp 29. I was surprised, pleasantly by how well it fit me. There was a lot less strain for me on it and it felt smooth and meant for me. I spoke to a fellow female rider and she agreed that the Camber was surprisingly great for a woman that is built with a shorter waist and shorter legs. It goes to show that a girl shouldn't limit herself strictly to the Rumor, Jynx, etc., for mountain biking. Look at the male options as well, because you never know. I am planning on ordering my Camber next month, switching up the saddle and handlebars and off I will go to the Colorado trails!

I am not on an unlimited budget so I got this bike a few months ago when my local Specialized dealer was unloading their 2014 demo bikes. Needless to say I got a great deal on a great bike. Since then I have converted it to a 1x10 with a 32T front and added a dropper post. As it is now this bike continually blows me away every time I ride it. I am only 165lbs but I have punished it down root infested descents, aired it out, railed it through berms, and made climbs I have never made. This bike has good reviews everywhere you look for a reason. Well done Specialized!

I just upgraded from my Hardrock, which I still love and am keeping, but the difference from that to my new Camber Comp is like night and day. I can climb easier regardless if there are obstacles and I actually look for them now, shifting is smooth and responsive, braking is much better, suspension makes the trail ride much more comfortable, and it is way more stable and controllable riding downhill at high speed. Overall, this was a great investment / early x-mas gift to myself and I recommend this bike if you are looking for an affordable upgrade.

Although I am still in college, I was eventually able to pull of this purchase, but when I finally did, I was blown away!!! I have always been a 26er and was a bit leery of the massive wheels. But my concerns were silenced upon my first ride! The saddle is "deep" in the bike and I can still "flick and shred" if I want. But with WAY more confidence as the bike climbs like goat and floats down the descents at speeds I have never been able to reach! And at such a reasonable price! But enough of reading my review, GO GET ONE!!!!

Purchased a 2013 Specialized Camber Comp about a month and a half ago, and have been riding it 2 to 3 times a week since. What's not to love about this bike? It responds to every trail that I have thrown at it, which includes many double red diamond Expert/Pro trails in Florida. The drive-train works incredibly well, except for some clunky up-shifts from my rear derailleur...not a big deal. I'm pretty happy that I decided to go with this one over the base model Camber. The 2x10 drive-train, better brakes, overall weight (28 lbs w/ pedals), and front fork....heck the whole bike is just much better. Happy with my first full-suspension bike.

I've been riding my Camber Comp for a year now and have loved every minute of it: it handles loose rocks and roots on descents with ease, is a good climber, and is a blast on flowy singletrack. A perfect do-everything bike.

This bike maneuvers like a smaller bike. It gets through corners easily and nimbly but is still big enough to roll right over tough terrain. I was worried about switching to a 29er but this bike goes through tight spaces more easily than I imagined. Braking is consistent and solid (the back break has a little occasional squeal which is normal for Avid Elixir brakes). I also love the auto-squat feature on the rear shock - takes a lot of the fiddling and guesswork out of adjustment.

As an intermediate on an intermediate MB, I can't help but feel this Camber model has made me feel like I can tackle more than my current abilities can dish out. Its been more than a few times that I've felt like I was over my head, only to have the bike save me from my poor choices on the trail.

I am an intermediate level biker and love this bike. I have had it for about week now and have ridden it about 3 times so far. It works great even in rain and wind, and can handle pretty much any kind of terrain.
