I got more flats with this tire than any I have owned in the past. Was not resistant to thorns. Very disappointed with the tire wear. I am rather heavy and I took this into account, however, the rear tire wore through the outer rubber layer in a couple of months(I ride from 50-70 miles a week, mostly around Puttingstone lake).

Comments:
The last section of my commute is over an industrial road - full of gravel, glass, wire. Pre-armadillos, a flat a month. Post - a flat a year when new, 2 flats per year when worn. Some folks say that these tires slow you down, but I found no difference and if you include the time to fix the flats, much, much faster commutes since getting these on my bike.
