When I saw poor reviews I thought "they feel my pain" then I saw a youtube video and thought "that's how it locks!?!? Set gauge - what???" Once I Flipped the handle up to lock it and set the gauge, it was a piece of cake. Sadly I had not used a bike pump in 30 years so those were NOT obvious to me.

Had an old pump that was laying around in my closet for an eternity before I started cycling a couple years ago. Had used that and absolutely HATED pumping up my tires! I would ride on low pressure to QT before using that pump. That being said, this one does the trick quite well! Typically adds 5-10psi per pump (until reaching very high pressure).

Not sure why the other reviewer seem to have problems with this piece of equipment. Mine work very well for almost 3 years until I dropped it and bent the cylinder. I'm replacing with another.

I've used this pump on a regular basis for about a year, and the side exploded this morning, and only at about 80PSI. Shrapnel went flying in several directions, narrowly missing my cat!
Comments:
I found this to be a pretty basic, middle of the road pump. It's a little tricky to first get the presta valve to seat correctly and it doesn't want to come off of a standard valve very easily. I do wish the handle felt more stable. I'm worried I'll break it but it hasn't yet. In the end, it's cheap and my tires stay pumped up because I have one. Nothing fancy.

Comments:
does not fit properly on a presta valve, and will not pump air into it. this thing is absolutely 100% worthless.
