I've had two previous standard Alliante's and was intrigued to try this new one by the extra padding & channel design. I was pleased and had no issues with the previous models and am not convinced that this new design is significantly more comfortable. You can immediately feel the pretty firm channel's edges but after you get used to that, it might be better for your long run nerve health.
