Road bike light and super comfortable too, Cannondale's Quick SL 1 is perfect for all your town and road riding. It boasts an efficient aluminum frame while a carbon fork naturally soaks up road vibrations for a velvety-smooth ride. For floating up hills and flying along on the flats, you've got a wide-range Shimano/FSA 20-speed drivetrain and aero Element wheels cased in grippy, tough Kenda tires. And, for excellent stopping power, the Quick 1 sports powerful linear-pull brakes. Other noteworthy features include the quality Cannondale saddle, handlebar and stem. From joining group rides, to getting in better shape, to tackling charity and century outings — do it all on the Quick!

Comments:
This is by far the best flat bar rec bike for the money. I compared this to Trek, Specialized, Cannondale Quick Carbon, etc. Although the carbon bikes are "cool", there is no clear advantage to spend 2-3 k for a high-end rec bike. If you want the ultimate road bike, then by a "true" road bike. The SL 1 is a competitive, comfortable, fast, and great looking rec bike. It does it all!
